"One of the most satisfying rides you will ever have!"
Ride for AIDS Chicago is a two-day, 180 mile bicycle ride fundraiser produced by Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) to raise funds for HIV/AIDS services in the Chicago area. The Ride takes place annually the first weekend of June in recognition of the date scientists began to notice the unusual disease that would later be known as AIDS. The goal of Ride for AIDS Chicago is to return 100% of pledge dollars to the Ride’s beneficiaries. Now in its sixth year, we anticipate the cumulative total amount returned to charity to reach $800,000.
Ride for AIDS Chicago is fully supported with luggage transport, pit stops every 15-20 miles fully stocked with water, sport drinks and healthy snacks, and support vehicles along the route to keep riders safe. There is even a mobile bike mechanic fully equipped to handle almost any last minute repairs. Individual Riders are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 and Crew Members $500 by reaching out to friends and colleagues to support their personal efforts and the missions of TPAN and Community Partner AIDS Service Organizations.
