June 15, 2020

Since the COVID-19 crisis began, TPAN has never wavered in our commitment to serve our clients and help keep our community safe. Throughout the state-wide shutdown, our providers have delivered telehealth and remote services to hundreds of Chicagoans. For all our clients and community who are living with or affected by HIV, we place your well-being, safety, and quality of care above all else.

This June, as Chicago enters Phase 3 of safely re-opening our city, TPAN is proud to re-open our doors. Our return to on-site services will be phased and incremental, with new ways of scheduling care and safely navigating your visit.

In this phase, TPAN offers on-site services for current clients in our Housing Navigation and Medical Case Management programs, available by appointment only. Remote services will continue in these programs as well.

TPAN providers in our Mental Health Services, Youth Services, and Older Adults Services programs will continue to serve clients remotely.

Are you a current TPAN client in our housing support or medical case management program looking to schedule an in-person appointment?
TPAN is sending information to all current clients with instructions on how to schedule an in-person appointment (weekdays, 10AM-4PM). Remote services will also remain available. Please contact your provider with questions.

Are you a current TPAN client accessing remote care since March and wish to continue?
You don’t have to make any changes at this time. If you have been receiving a TPAN service remotely, please continue to connect with your TPAN care provider.

TPAN extends our solidarity and support to all community members who are struggling at this time. As an agency, we stand with our Black and Brown staff, clients, and community while our nation calls for justice and the dismantling of systems that privilege some and harm people of color. The cruel murder of George Floyd has outraged us and galvanized our determination to be part of change, healing, and a new future. COVID-19 has also laid bare the disparities and systemic failings of so many social support systems. We continue to serve in challenging times when our mission is more important than ever.

Whether you are a client, advocate, supporter, or community member, we reaffirm our commitment to you and all lives affected by HIV.
